La Scala Coffee House is based in one of Northern Ireland’s newest historical visitor attractions – The Hill of The O’Neill and Ranfurly House Arts & Visitor Centre. It’s already uber-popular with locals and was a finalist in the Newcomer of the Year LCN Awards 2013.
Created by the award-winning Tullylagan Country House hotel, this ground-floor cafe has it all. Tullylagan supplies some of the food like their propoerly homebaked apple pie and shortbread. There are bodacious breakfasts (with Cookstown Bacon and Irish Smoked Salmon), sublime sandwiches, daily hot specials and homemade soups, their unqiue ‘scrummy scones’ as well as giant cakes from The Fluffy Meringue on Fivemiletown.
Drinks include super fruit smoothies, ‘mad and marvellous’ milkshakes, and its ‘proper tea’, the loose leaf Belfast Brew by Suki Tea and probably the best coffee selction in Dungannon. The highly trained barista team also make sure every coffee is simply ‘made right’ and always served with a warm welcome and a big smile
